Starting in 1972 in England, Michael's love of music led him to learn sound engineering. Working with Malcom Hill Associates, Michael perfected his skill around the clubs and concert halls of Europe. In 1985, Michael worked as a FOH engineer for the first historic concert of its kind, Live Aid at Wembley Stadium. Live Aid raised millions for famine relief and became the benchmark for future fundraising concerts by rock and roll artists. After moving to the US from London in 1983, owner, Michael Scarfe, started MHA Audio. The company originally provided concert touring systems and sound engineering for acts such as AC/DC, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Berlin, Gary Moore, Gary Numan, Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers and The B-52's. The company is now more focused on regional work on the East Coast, and has broadened its clients to include the government, colleges and universities, event companies and private and public corporations.
MHA Audio works regularly with many of the local promoters and
event companies. Some of those include IMP Productions, Live Nation,
Merriweather Post Pavilion, Pier Six Pavilion Partners, AEG Live,
Upfront Promotions, Infinity Broadcasting, Baltimore Office of
Promotion and the Arts and Showcall Inc.
MHA Audio now provides professional sound systems and production management for corporate conferences, national entertainment, festivals, political events and campaigns and Fortune 100 and 500 companies. Our sound systems can be configured to fit any size event, from a hotel ballroom, symphony hall, arena or outdoor festival. MHA Audio also offers our clients one stop planning by providing event production management, lighting and staging systems, barricade, generators, and stagehand labor.
